about me

I am an accomplished rugby coach with experience in player development and team management at both international and domestic level. Having made the transition from a successful playing career in which I represented the Wallabies at the 1987 World Cup, I have since guided London Irish to their first top three Premiership finish, Heineken Cup semi-final and European Challenge Cup final as Director of Rugby and Head Coach.

My success at London Irish led to my appointment as Attack Coach in Martin Johnson’s coaching team with the England national team in 2008, where I played a key role in their first winning Six Nations Championship campaign since 2003 and record breaking year in 2011, with the team scoring 37 tries in 13 tests. I have since returned to London Irish in my former role and provide the same level of expertise and competitiveness in all of the club’s operations both on and off the field.
